This week, Cordelia and company started strategizing on how to take out Michael and his warlock supporters.\u00a0 Cordelia reached out to Papa Legba for help, but she just got mocked by Nan, which was fantastic.\u00a0 In the end, Ariel, Baldwin, and Mead ended up in the right place, but the wrong time.\u00a0 If you’re new to the blog, my name is Kent and I ask the questions and get some unique answers.\u00a0 Any comments in bold are from me unless otherwise stated.\u00a0 Please enjoy!<\/p>\n

Kristi: \u00a0I think she made the right choice. Giving up one of her own would have been shitty. I think Papa could have stopped him but we would have no season if that happened, sooo\u2026 \u00a0<\/span>(They could have given us 3 episodes of flashbacks in some fashion. \u00a0I wouldn\u2019t even be upset by that and I bitch about everything.)<\/b><\/p>\n Raylene: I don\u2019t think she would have ever made any deal that involved anyone other than her. She definitely didn\u2019t want to be like Fiona which would have if she took his deal. I am happy to see Nan hoping it\u2019s not a cameo \u00a0<\/span>(Yeah, she didn\u2019t want to be like Fiona and I think that played a big role in the decision. \u00a0Nan was like this big reminder of what not to be.)<\/b><\/p>\n Cece: \u00a0I don\u2019t think she was wrong with not wanting to take the deal. She needs all the power she can get to defeat Michael. Papa is probably very powerful, but what if it didn\u2019t work out with just his help? Also, NAN!! I was so happy seeing her! \u00a0<\/span>(Yay for Nan, indeed!)<\/b><\/p>\n Melanie: \u00a0She could have made a deal, but her guilt about losing them the first time was eating at her soul. \u00a0I don\u2019t think Papa has the power to stop Michael. I am worried no one does, besides Coco (just kidding…she is terrible). \u00a0YAAASSSS NAN! I am so happy to see her and see her be bad. Go on with your bad self!!! <\/span>(You don\u2019t think Papa had the power. \u00a0That is like the big thing for me. I really wish I knew his power in full capacity.)<\/b><\/p>\n Tom: \u00a0I think she had to make the decision she did. \u00a0To sacrifice her girls would have been a break from her character. I don’t think Papa Legba can stop Michael on his own, as he said he’s more of a gatekeeper. \u00a0He could only give them the opportunity to trap Michael. <\/span>(An opportunity is better than no opportunity though. \u00a0You and I know that somehow these girls are going to make a 1980\u2019s Hulk Hogan comeback, but for practicality purposes, opportunities are good.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kayleigh: \u00a0I don’t think they could have possibly made her character make that decision. She is too much of a \u201cgood\u201d character. I think Papa could have stopped him, but then there would have been no more story. And I liked that Nan was an evil little bitch. \u00a0<\/span>(Evil Nan is best Nan!)<\/b><\/p>\n Kelly: \u00a0She could have made the deal and handed over Madison… Just kidding. I think Papa could at least play a huge part in helping stop him if not all by himself. Nan was a prediction of mine that I didn’t fully commit to so it didn’t take me 100% by surprise that she was one of the traitors. (I consider there to be two, Nan and John Henry.) \u00a0<\/span>(Part of me wonders if you were kidding based on previous conversations.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kent: \u00a0I think that Cordelia should have continued trying to negotiate. \u00a0Obviously, we have the benefit of hindsight. I have to consider a few things. \u00a0Michael\u2019s powers are incredible. We have seen him take out ghosts and how he brought Queenie, Maidson, and Misty back. \u00a0If anybody can serve as a deterrent, it appears that Papa could prove to the man for the job. I get not wanting to sacrifice the girls. \u00a0Still, right now I would speculate that Michael could wipe each witch out one by one and then make their spirits vanish entirely. With that knowledge, if Cordelia feared worst-case scenario, then this actually was a small price to pay compared to the apocalypse. \u00a0Nobody really is happy with this, aside from Papa, but still better than some alternatives.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kristi: \u00a0Definitely. I was bummed when the episode ended. I need more. I see good things happening. <\/span>(This made me want more, which is good.)<\/b><\/p>\n Raylene: I think he will sacrifice himself to save one of the witches \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>(Ohhh, will we hear Creed talk about My Sacrifice?)<\/b><\/p>\n Cece: \u00a0I KNEW he was getting brought back! He will be another soldier in the fight against Michael. <\/span>(Yes, another soldier. \u00a0I really wish we knew more about his powers. \u00a0I need a book on this shit. Come on Ryan Murphy, write a book so I have info to critique your show.)<\/b><\/p>\n Melanie: \u00a0I don\u2019t think it does, but I think the witches just wanted to lessen the warlock power load. \u00a0<\/span>(I get that, I just feel that Michael can simply resurrect allies at will, in theory.)<\/b><\/p>\n Tom: \u00a0Well I don’t think he’s all that powerful compared to the witches, but he is a hidden pawn that Michael doesn’t know about. \u00a0He’ll probably help in some crucial moment. <\/span>(Tom, obviously a man is nowhere close to being as powerful as a strong independent witch. \u00a0Have you learned nothing?)<\/b><\/p>\n Kayleigh: \u00a0Even if he doesn’t bring much to the table, I’m just glad he burnt Ariel and Baldwin alive. Really enjoyed that scene. \u00a0<\/span>(It brought back fond memories.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kelly: \u00a0He’ll help fight, I assume. I’m not sure what his powers consist of but they’ll likely help! \u00a0<\/span>(Maybe he\u2019s a healer. \u00a0Every good group needs a medic or multiple ones. \u00a0Or a human shield.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kent: \u00a0He has good intuition. \u00a0He seems to have a smart sense of situations and how to read people. \u00a0That means that he should be a good strategist if nothing else. I\u2019m not sure if his powers will be of any use in the war. \u00a0I can\u2019t be the only person that was hoping to hear Right Place Wrong Time\u2026.was I? Shit, I probably was.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kristi: \u00a0Well, seeing as they wanted to kill all the witches, \u00a0It helped them by saving them, for the moment anyway. <\/span>(I feel like a broken record, but I wish I knew the extent of Ariel and Baldwin\u2019s powers.)<\/b><\/p>\n Raylene: It seems like that is the cost of betrayal I think it cemented John Henry and any other warlock loyalty. \u00a0<\/span>(I am curious if this causes any trickle down allegiance from other warlocks.)<\/b><\/p>\n Cece: \u00a0They have fewer people who can stand in Michael\u2019s corner, I guess. Although, I\u2019m sure he has the power to bring them back\u2026? <\/span>(Okay, see, I don\u2019t read these responses until it\u2019s time to respond. \u00a0That is what my whole thing is. Michael has the power to bring them back, so it\u2019s a point I keep going back to.)<\/b><\/p>\n Melanie: \u00a0Less Warlocks to stand with Michael? \u00a0Michael doesn\u2019t need a man though. He is a strong independent wit—I mean warlock. \u00a0<\/span>(Once again, proof that I don\u2019t read these things before I start my responses. \u00a0That\u2019s funny that we went for the same joke only in different questions.)<\/b><\/p>\n Tom: \u00a0\u00a0Well they were obviously allies Michael was using, so at the very least Michael will have to look for new allies. \u00a0<\/span>(In theory, shouldn\u2019t he have an army of Satan worshippers ready to sacrifice themselves for him?)<\/b><\/p>\n Kayleigh: \u00a0They are definitely trying to make Michael feel alone. Just a part of their strategy. \u00a0<\/span>(That loneliness theory, I think you are onto something with that. \u00a0I feel that is part of the underlying story from the Murder House episode. \u00a0We were so focused on all the cool shit, but I think it\u2019s a subtle thing that may come into play.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kelly: \u00a0They were on Michael’s side and could have assisted in his takeover. Michael could potentially have mesmerized them into helping him in this battle we all still think is going to happen soon. \u00a0<\/span>(Man, the word mesmerized never gets used in these blogs. \u00a0Good choice!)<\/b><\/p>\n Kent: \u00a0I\u2019m not sure. \u00a0Yeah, I guess you could say that it\u2019s a psychological tactic, but I don\u2019t think it meant anything to Michael. \u00a0Furthermore, I can safely assume that if either guy held much value, he would just resurrect them. This is the problem with dealing with the Superman type characters. \u00a0They are too powerful, and you can make an argument that they can do just about anything. At least if you burned Batman and Wonder Woman at the stake, it would certainly rattle Superman. \u00a0I don\u2019t know how you rattle Michael unless it has something to do with Mead.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kristi: \u00a0I really don’t know where this is going. Clearly, her powers are getting stronger but I’m not sure where it will go from there. <\/span>(At least you didn\u2019t wish her to die, so that is positive.)<\/b><\/p>\n Raylene: I\u2019ll go outlandish and say her power will be just like Magneto. \u00a0<\/span>(I\u2019m cool with that if she has his accent, and Charles Montgomery returns. \u00a0That\u2019s obviously important.)<\/b><\/p>\n Cece: \u00a0I am not sure, honestly. It may be that she can decipher where things are, like helpful tools in the fight. \u00a0<\/span>(I brought up that idea in the past. \u00a0Like possibly a weakness detection ability. \u00a0Obviously, something like that would be helpful or else it wouldn\u2019t be in video games so often.)<\/b><\/p>\n Melanie: \u00a0I think she will die to let someone else live. \u00a0She is terrible, but being a gluten free person I can see how that would be helpful…to me. <\/span>(I haven\u2019t done this in a while. \u00a0Boooo! I reject your idea of Coco dying. \u00a0When it happens, make sure to mock me.)<\/b><\/p>\n Tom: \u00a0I don’t know but it does seem like they’re spending a lot of time on Coco\u2019s shitty powers. \u00a0If Coco ends up being the next supreme I’m done with AHS. <\/span>(Your response conflicts me. \u00a0I\u2019d hate to lose you from the group\u2026…but I mean, if Coco becomes the next Supreme, I will be in full ecstasy. \u00a0It\u2019d be like having hookers, blow, and Slim Jims. So, my apologies, I\u2019ll miss you.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kayleigh: \u00a0I’m not sure what her final power will be. However, I am predicting that they will kill her off at some point. <\/span>(Well, now that I have shaken the rust off…BOOOOOOOOO! \u00a0No death to Coco. I think the more I say this the more happy people will be when she gets got.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kelly: \u00a0\u00a0I couldn’t even begin to predict that, ha! I have no idea where they’re going with her but I look forward to everyone’s answers on this one! Mayyyyybe she’ll figure out his form of nutrition and interfere with it? <\/span> I can’t even take that theory seriously, ha! \u00a0<\/span>(That is interesting. \u00a0Maybe she can figure out like a food allergy that Michael has. \u00a0How many EpiPens remain in the Apocalypse?)<\/b><\/p>\n Kent: \u00a0Can Coco be the second coming of Christ? \u00a0I want her to just be the most amazing character. \u00a0This would be a fun start. But in all seriousness, I want her to have a Rogue type ability to be able to touch a person and soak up their power. \u00a0As bodies are falling in the battle, she just goes around groping bitc\u2026.I mean witches. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kristi: I’m going with the warlocks. Befriending the witches just to try to kill them all isn’t a very nice thing. The witches didn’t have a choice but to listen in on them, as they knew they were in danger. <\/span>(I was just happy that they gave Joan another role.)<\/b><\/p>\n Raylene: First I was like the warlocks were because they betrayed their own but now thinking of it, the witches were the traitors since they used Joan to hear what was in their souls. The parody was from a Tales of the Crypt film. \u00a0<\/span>(You\u2019re just lucky that I have shown you many great movies and TV shows.)<\/b><\/p>\n Cece: \u00a0From what I heard, it\u2019s straight out of Tales From The Crypt! And the traitor\u2026 hmm. Not sure, honestly. \u00a0<\/span>(I was hoping that you were going to say Straight Outta Compton. \u00a0I feel a little letdown.)<\/b><\/p>\n Melanie: \u00a0The traitor was a good thing that worked in the witches favor, Behold Chablis was the warlock for the job. \u00a0Also, no clue about the Joan Collins film. <\/span>(I like the idea of it being Behold. \u00a0I will say that I think that is the beauty of this. \u00a0It\u2019s so open for interpretation and was most likely referring to multiple traitors.)<\/b><\/p>\n Tom: \u00a0I was actually already pondering who the traitor ended up being. \u00a0The only time I remember a traitor being discussed was when the witches found out a woman had killed John Henry, \u00a0but she was never a friend so she can’t be a traitor. I guess Ariel and Baldwin\u2026 <\/span>(Good point about the only time the traitor was brought up, in reference to one of the few characters that couldn\u2019t be considered a traitor. \u00a0That\u2019s pretty funny.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kayleigh: \u00a0Maybe they thought they had a traitor at the beginning of the episode, but once they brought John Henry back and learned it was Kathy Bates they had to kill her. Plus Ariel and Baldwin. \u00a0<\/span>(I don\u2019t think that Ariel or Baldwin should be considered traitors. \u00a0They are sick of always being talked down by the witches and now they have a winner. \u00a0Who exactly did they betray, and was it warranted? I get where you are coming from, but that was my logic.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kelly: \u00a0As I stated above, Nan is the obvious answer and John Henry because he betrays his “coven.” \u00a0<\/span>(I have nothing snarky to say. \u00a0I agree with you.)<\/b><\/p>\n Kent: \u00a0I love the fact that there is no real consensus on who the traitor is. \u00a0I was worried that it was clear cut and I just missed it. I think you can go with Ariel & Baldwin, Behold, John Henry, Nan, and possibly Cordelia in the sense that she refused to be a traitor. \u00a0I like the idea of it being Nan. That scene was awesome, and I liked her attitude. John Henry is probably the answer, but Nan is my choice. To answer the question, the parody was of the 1972 British horror anthology film called Tales From The Crypt, which featured this story starring Joan Collins. \u00a0But wait…there\u2019s more! The second ever episode of the Tales From The Crypt TV show, back in 1989, was titled \u201cAnd All Through the House\u201d which was a slightly longer version of the story. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
