{"id":12441,"date":"2018-08-17T14:22:59","date_gmt":"2018-08-17T14:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/?p=12441"},"modified":"2018-08-17T14:22:59","modified_gmt":"2018-08-17T14:22:59","slug":"fear-the-walking-dead-9-deuce-s4-ep9-people-like-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/9deuce.tv\/tv\/fear-the-walking-dead-9-deuce-s4-ep9-people-like-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Fear The Walking Dead 9 Deuce: S:4 Ep:9 &#8220;People Like Us&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-11824\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/9-Deuce-02-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All of our questions were answered.\u00a0 We know that Althea and Madison had met prior and we also find out why the group has been so shattered as we see the conclusion to Madison&#8217;s story.\u00a0 I apologize for the pictures, but this episode was very dark, so the pictures aren&#8217;t as pretty to look at.\u00a0 \u00a0My name is Kent, and for Fear The Walking Dead, I only ask 5 questions and some final thoughts to make this blog a little more compact your reading pleasure.\u00a0 Any comments in\u00a0<strong>BOLD<\/strong> are written by me.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy and if you or someone you know may want to do this blog, contact me, leave a comment, whatever.\u00a0 The contact info is at the bottom of this blog.<\/p>\n<p>____________________________________________<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0Do you really think Morgan is ever making it back to Virginia?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12445\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Morgan-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a0Heck no, that\u2019s just getting us to think about it. \u00a0Although he may in the future, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s this season.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(I could see it down the road, but what purpose does it serve for him to return to find Rick gone in some capacity?\u00a0 I guess if there is an answer to that, then maybe.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0No. They did a great job of teasing it though. \u00a0I\u2019m sure too many shenanigans are going to be keeping Morgan where he is.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(The tease was well done.\u00a0 People were talking when that first happened, so good job on the writer&#8217;s behalf.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0I think there is a 15% chance that Morgan makes it to Virginia before the show ends. \u00a0I loved that they tried this to mess with fan\u2019s heads. Let\u2019s face it, the main show is about to do a serious time jump, not that Morgan couldn\u2019t have been part of it, but he is now the official lead of Fear. \u00a0I feel that Alicia deserved that honor, but Morgan carries a lot of weight with his name value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0Should John be worried about June\u2019s loyalty or intent to build a life with him?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12443\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/John-Doria-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a0Yes, he should. \u00a0As soon as there is pressure, LaJuNaomi will become Elizabeth (one more syllable) and disappear.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(I think of the name Elizabeth and picture Fred Sanford screaming to her on Sanford and Son.\u00a0 That theme song was so catchy.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sanford and Son Intro\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1WqazleR3FE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0Well, she\u2019s tried to run away from various people 3,243 times so far, so\u2026..yes? \u00a0I\u2019m tempted to think this time will be different, but she has shown that she\u2019ll run.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(What&#8217;s the old saying? 3,244 times is the charm?\u00a0 I think I read that in The Little Prince.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0John should be worried about that because that\u2019s what she does. \u00a0The thing is, every new time is a different time. What I mean by that is just because your last 3 girlfriends cheated on you, it doesn\u2019t mean that the next one will, right? \u00a0So we don\u2019t know if anybody has shown this kind of affection toward her, and that may keep her tamed a bit better. Still, of course, he should be concerned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0We will be meeting new characters this season. \u00a0What are the odds or percentage that these new characters may actually be \u201cgood guys\u201d?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12442\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Althea-Radio-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a092% good guys, but it depends on who is judging.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(92&#8230;..what an odd, yet coincidental choice.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0The trailer showed at least 3, and they seemed like good people. \u00a0I\u2019m sure there will be at least one villain.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(So what you&#8217;re saying is that 3 people will somehow end up being the villain?\u00a0 The percentage of new people to the show who are good is less than 50 at this point, siginificantly less.\u00a0 I like that.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0According to Talking Dead, it sounds like there\u2019s at least 4 newbies. \u00a0They can\u2019t all be good, right? Just like with the Vultures, not all of them were evil, mainly Charlie was pure evil, but Ennis was a good guy. \u00a0I think 2 will 100% be good. I think Person 3 will be 92% good with 8% bad because they get coerced by Person 4 who is a jerkface. Person 3 will be the one who absolutely dies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0In this episode, a lot of characters paired up at various points. \u00a0Which one was your favorite pairing?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12444\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Morgan-Alicia-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a0John\/Strand &#8211; just completely different outlooks on life and coping mechanisms. \u00a0John has it mostly together and has a caring heart for others. Strand has always been about himself. \u00a0I think John is more likely to have a meltdown if things keep going bad though.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(I could watch those 2 guys for a whole episode, I think.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0Morgan and Alicia. \u00a0I think Morgan understands what she\u2019s going through since he\u2019s been through it himself. \u00a0He wants to save her from self-destruction. Plus, I really enjoy how much Alicia\u2019s character has changed throughout the show.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(Alicia has evolved in asuch a unique way.\u00a0 I was kinda irritated on Talking Dead when they compared June to Carol.\u00a0 If anything, Alicia has become the Carol of this show going back to the beginning and all of the various arcs, there are a ton of similarities. )<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0I fully admit to liking almost all of these pairings. \u00a0I loved John with Charlie because it was the thing you just come to expect from that man. \u00a0I loved John and Strand for the reasons that Bob said. I liked Althea and June oddly enough. \u00a0Morgan and Alicia was the most compelling in many ways. But if I have to pick one, it\u2019s gotta be Strand and Luciana. \u00a0There is zero doubt in my mind that given the opportunity to jam out to music and or get drunk as hell during the ZA, I am probably doing both. \u00a0So that spoke to me. I also would have set up better defenses in all fairness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0If you had to get rid of one of the 8 remaining characters, who would it be and why?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12446\" src=\"http:\/\/www.9deuce.tv\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Strand-Luciana-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a0Ofelia who? Ofelia pain. Ofelia wouldn\u2019t miss ya. She is just so down and out. \u00a0Her father is where it\u2019s at. <\/span><b>(Dude, she\u2019s dead.)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0Is Tara an acceptable answer? \u00a0I\u2019ll go with Luciana. I think she is the least interesting. \u00a0<\/span><b>(Tara is always an acceptable answer within this blog. \u00a0ALWAYS.)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0Well, let\u2019s get this straight, I am not eliminating either black dude because that\u2019s what Walking Dead used to do. \u00a0Morgan has long been a favorite of mine and Strand has been my favorite on Fear along with Daniel. I cannot pick John, although he is unfortunately the current moral compass. \u00a0That leaves 5 females. Alicia has to live because she\u2019s the last of the family. I like Althea too much and I feel that we don\u2019t know her enough yet, and I think she has many layers. \u00a0I will save Charlie because she may still be pure evil, and we always need one of them. I feel like Luciana is the less interesting choice between her and June, but I don\u2019t feel that she has had opportunities to really shine and showcase her character. \u00a0June has had a LOT of time spent on her. If she dies, it breaks John\u2019s heart, which will collectively break the audience\u2019s hearts, and then he will be like this bad ass protector of Charlie. I say June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final Thoughts &#8211; How cool is this storm? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bob: \u00a0The storm is very cool. \u00a0I\u2019m sorry but how is there not a question or comment about the cabin and how John believes it should be there because he \u201clocked the door\u201d when he left. \u00a0Truly an amazing quote. <\/span><b>(HAHAHAHA, my bad. \u00a0If I run short of a question next week, i will ask that because you\u2019re right, that was definitely something to discuss.)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris: \u00a0The storm is going to be great. \u00a0Although, my first thought was \u201czombie-nado!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(The question is, if a zomienado crashes into a sharknado, the assumption would be that the sharks may become undead sharks.\u00a0 Would Ian Ziering and Tara Reid join forces with our group?)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kent: \u00a0This is like the epitome of Winter is coming, except it didn\u2019t take 8 damn seasons to come. \u00a0I love it, and I loved seeing the way they did things on Talking Dead. I love to see the behind the scenes stuff. \u00a0I also have to say this, I am so glad that Chris Hardwick is back on that show. I know a lot of people that don\u2019t like him, mainly for his comedy, but I think he is a fantastic host of that show. \u00a0I hate how everything went down with the allegations, and I truly believe that we can all do better than what people are currently doing. Things that happened years ago should have been handled years ago and not ruining people\u2019s careers now. \u00a0Coming out years later screams that you are just trying to ruin a career rather than shed light on the awful things that you claim happen. I think people should come forward, when it is a real thing that REALLY happened, but do it in a timely manner or let it go. \u00a0I think that\u2019s a fair compromise. Some people will not agree with my sentiments, and that\u2019s okay.
