This week, Simon leads the Saviors to the Hilltop and we\u00a0have biological warfare.\u00a0 Tara, Tobin, and Kent are all attacked with varying results.\u00a0 Rick doesn’t want to do much talking.\u00a0 Henry is trying to be Carl Jr. and failing.\u00a0\u00a0All of this and more in this week’s blog.\u00a0 My name is Kent, and I ask 9 episode-specific questions, and 2 bonus questions, and that’s how we get the 9 Deuce.\u00a0 Any comments in\u00a0BOLD<\/strong> are written by me.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy and if you or someone you know may want to do this blog, contact me, leave a comment, whatever.\u00a0 The contact info is at the bottom of this blog.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Was Tara\u2019s arrow tainted with walker blood?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Bob: \u00a0No. She was injured at the same time as the others and she isn’t sweating. \u00a0It was Dwight who has made his decision to be against Negan. Against Negan. Not for Alexandrians per se. \u00a0<\/span>(Shouldn\u2019t the pain alone be enough for her to be sweating? \u00a0She\u2019s no Rick Grimes.)<\/b><\/p>\n

    Chris: \u00a0No. I imagine if it was she would have turned like the others. \u00a0Dammit Dwight! You had one job! <\/span>(Yeah, I may have to fire Dwight for F\u2019n this one up.)<\/b><\/p>\n

    Kent: \u00a0This is where I present the Sliders mindset. \u00a0Back in the mid 90\u2019s, FOX and later SyFy had a TV show called Sliders starring Jerry O\u2019Connell, and it was about a group of 4 who could travel to various dimensions, and they would always end up in the same location, San Fransisco, but the society would always have different quirks, like USSA or they live by SHirley Jackson\u2019s The Lottery rules, or they were still living like it was the Wild West or San Fran became a giant Jurassic Park. \u00a0You get the idea. I want to use the sliding device to go to the dimension where Tara\u2019s arrow was tainted. Now, fudge that. I want the dimension where Daryl didn\u2019t become a pussy. Screw it, I want the dimension where Shane, Merle, Abe, Governor, Tyrese, T Dog, Martinez, Shumpert, Morales, Herschel, Otis, Gavin, and Gareth hung out with Carol, Rick, Negan, Simon, Eugene, bad ass Daryl, Dwight, Jerry, Tobin, Kent, Morgan, Ezekiel, Rosita, and they just went place to place taking over. \u00a0That\u2019s the show I want. You can give us Lizzie, Mika, Shiva, Enid, Aaron, Gregory, and Deanna as well. That\u2019s the show I want to see.\u00a0 Oceanside would be done in 5 minutes. <\/span><\/p>\n

    1. \u00a0Did seeing her get hit by Dwight bring you any joy, either because she\u2019s been awful to Dwight or just because you think she is simply awful?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Bob: \u00a0Sure because it’s Tara.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Chris: \u00a0Yeah. Not really because of how she’s been towards Dwight. \u00a0I can understand it. I just can’t stand her character.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Kent: \u00a0Ahhhhhh, I love to bash Tara. \u00a0I guess we need to move on to serious topics now. \u00a0Sigh. See, nobody likes her. End her!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. \u00a0Will you miss Tobin?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Bob: \u00a0Who? ???? \u00a0<\/span>(Poor Tobin. \u00a0\u00a0He always wanted to be part of the big boy group.)<\/b><\/p>\n

        Chris: \u00a0Not really. \u00a0He needed more screen time in order for more people to be invested in him. \u00a0Its like they killed him just so someone \u201cimportant\u201d died. <\/span>(Yeah, they truly failed Tobin\u2019s character. \u00a0Him dying didn\u2019t feel like it had much of any oomph behind it because he rarely had any scenes that furthered his character. \u00a0He realized Abe was better than he was at his job in Alexandria. He wanted to nail Carol. That was his character development.)<\/b><\/p>\n

        Kent: \u00a0I always hoped that they would give his character a bit to work with, but they never did. \u00a0He feels like a missed opportunity. I wanted him to do something heroic before he died. I will miss him.<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. \u00a0Kent appears to be dying in bed. \u00a0Do you really care?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Bob: \u00a0See above. <\/span>(Bob, words hurt!)<\/b><\/p>\n

          Kent: \u00a0Ahhhh, Kent. \u00a0One of the founding fathers of Alexandria, in my mind, along with Reg and Tobin. \u00a0They helped fortify it and Kent was a businessman. He was rarely out on the front lines because he had bad asthma, but he could stay behind like a son of a bitch! \u00a0When the show needed a background character to know his role and shut his mouth, Kent was second in line usually, and he did a damn fine job. Of course, he will be miss. \u00a0I now kind of want to write his whole background story.<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. \u00a0What is Gavin (or his ghost\/memory\/vision) referring to or trying to get Morgan to realize?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \"\"<\/p>\n

            Bob: \u00a0You must go to Fear. \u00a0<\/span>(That\u2019s a really good call. \u00a0Fortunately, I don\u2019t hate Fear. \u00a0The thing is, the things that people bitch about TWD doing, or not doing, Fear is often trying to do, but it doesn\u2019t get any love. \u00a0It\u2019s a shame really. Still mad at who they killed last season though, but that is part of the appeal. They will kill so many people that they just developed.)<\/b><\/p>\n

            Chris: \u00a0He\u2019s guilt-tripping Morgan for letting Henry kill him. \u00a0With all the doctors they magically stumble upon, Morgan could really use a psychiatrist. <\/span>(That makes me wonder, should we be surprised at the amount of doctors remaining in the ZA? \u00a0While most groups initially made keeping doctors alive a priority, I\u2019m sure, as groups have gotten smaller and split up or gotten wiped out, the doctors didn\u2019t learn many combat skills early when it was the learning time. Still, I also feel like there are so many people in the medical field with other skills, think field medics in the military, why don\u2019t we see more?)<\/b><\/p>\n

            Kent: \u00a0I am just happy to have Gavin back on my screen. \u00a0I hope that this leads to Morgan seeing visions of Benjamin, maybe Duane, or even Coral. \u00a0The thing is, both Bob and Chris\u2019 response are really solid and I can\u2019t add anything intelligent to that because those are seemingly the 2 best theories.<\/span><\/p>\n

            1. \u00a0Where is Henry?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

              Bob: \u00a0Hunting his brother\u2019s killer. \u00a0<\/span>(Probably hunting down Jared. \u00a0I think there is at least a 40% chance that he thinks it is Jared just by hearing him talk.)<\/b><\/p>\n

              Kent: \u00a0I am secretly hoping that he is hanging out with Gregory. \u00a0I really want more Gregory scenes and him working with Henry on screen could prove hilarious.<\/span><\/p>\n

              1. \u00a0Will Henry make it out of this season alive?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Bob: \u00a0Yes.<\/span><\/p>\n

                Chris: \u00a0I think so. \u00a0If he doesn’t Morgan might just lose it and go to a different show\u2026.. \u00a0<\/span>(WHAT? \u00a0A new show? \u00a0That\u2019s crazy talk. \u00a0You\u2019re crazy. That can\u2019t happen.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                Kent: \u00a0Huh, I thought everybody would say no. \u00a0You gents have made me look foolish. Henry\u2019s death could be that final thing that pushes Morgan to a point called \u201ctoo far gone\u201d. \u00a0I believe that was the episode title of Herschel and Governor\u2019s death.<\/span><\/p>\n

                1. \u00a0Why isn\u2019t there more concern about the cut on Rick?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  \"\"<\/p>\n

                  Bob: \u00a0He is always in the safe zone. No wounds are fatal. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>(At some point, somebody should come up to Rick and take a blood sample because he\u2019s gotta be part of the cure at this point, right? \u00a0Nothing really bothers him as far as wounds go. The worst he had it was after the prison.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                  Chris: \u00a0He is wearing too much plot armor. \u00a0I actually have a theory that he might be immune. \u00a0It\u2019s a disease, there are bound to be people who are immune to it. \u00a0Might as well be the main character. <\/span>(Wow, okay, I read your response after I wrote my response to Bob. \u00a0That is pretty funny. Yeah, i think there is something to that because he has had wounds that would have killed other people.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                  Kent: \u00a0I think Rick Grimes listened to a lot of gangsta rap while working with Shane. \u00a0I bet there are like home videos of them rapping Nuthin\u2019 But A G Thang or Gangsta\u2019s Paradise. \u00a0The secret isn\u2019t that he is the cure. It\u2019s that he believes in living the Thug Life. I believe in Rick Grimes. \u00a0I think he also really liked Nelly.<\/span><\/p>\n

                   <\/p>\n

                  1. \u00a0Do you feel that Simon\u2019s attach <\/span>(this was a typo and I meant to say attack)<\/b> should be considered a success? \u00a0Do you think that Negan will consider this a success or a waste of too many Savior\u2019s lives?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

                    Bob: \u00a0At first I thought you had mistyped attache. \u00a0It was successful. But he could have just went with the wounds. \u00a0That caused the most casualties. <\/span>(Which is what Negan wanted initially. \u00a0Getting greedy cost SImon a lot of lives.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                    Chris: \u00a0It probably was a success. \u00a0However, I’m pretty sure next time Negan sees \u00a0Simon he won’t be in the congratulating mood. <\/span>(Yeah, I have a feeling that Negan may be a little upset at how the current situation is. \u00a0Poor Simon is gon get got.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                    Kent: \u00a0I would say that it was a failure. \u00a0I feel that the Saviors lost more people than the other side. \u00a0Not only that, but they lost how many of the prisoner\u2019s allegiance? \u00a0Negan is so going to be pissed off. I want to see Simon try to pull a Gregory and negotiate his way out of this. <\/span><\/p>\n

                    Bonus Deuce<\/span><\/p>\n

                    1. \u00a0If you were one of the Saviors locked in the cage, when given the opportunity to flee, what would you have done?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      \"\"<\/p>\n

                      Bob: \u00a0I would have stayed.<\/span><\/p>\n

                      Chris: \u00a0I would have stayed. \u00a0They leave and they are most likely dead in a variety of ways. \u00a0<\/span>(I really wish I knew how close these communities were t o each other, because those escaping have no vehicles most likely.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                      Kent: \u00a0Clean sweep, we all would have stayed. \u00a0I would have also had to consider this. Does Negan even want them back, based on what they heard Simon say? \u00a0Even if they make it back to Sanctuary, they may get punished for getting caught. Not worth it.<\/span><\/p>\n

                       <\/p>\n

                      1. \u00a0Did you like the vibe of this episode? \u00a0It was all over the place as far as drama, war, horror, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

                        Bob: \u00a0Good balance and it kept moving. \u00a0<\/span>(Yeah, I like the term balance. \u00a0That seems very apropos for this particular episode in particular.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                        Chris: \u00a0I enjoyed it. \u00a0Second half of this season has been awesome so far. \u00a0<\/span>(Yeah, and it\u2019s funny because you could say this, and I guarantee you that some jackass would say: \u201cWell the first half was all setting the stage for this great second half\u201d and I would have to shut that shit down. \u00a0They wasted sooooo much time in the first half. It wasn\u2019t that the content wasn\u2019t good, but there was at least 2 hours of screen time that was wasted on nonsense.)<\/b><\/p>\n

                        Kent: \u00a0Yeah, I am really digging the show at the moment, minus Tara being alive, of course.<\/span><\/p>\n

                         <\/p>\n

                        Final Thoughts – Did you watch The Terror? <\/span><\/p>\n

                        Bob: \u00a0Yes. They got me.<\/span><\/p>\n

                        Chris: \u00a0\u2026..yes. I liked it.<\/span><\/p>\n

                        Kent: \u00a0Some of it. \u00a0I love seeing Mance Rayder from Game of Thrones back on my TV screen, as well as another GoT alum, Edmure Tully. \u00a0I plan on watching more tonight or Monday. This is the type of show I can really enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n
