Hi everybody, this is Kent, and I’m back for this week’s TWD blog.\u00a0 Bitty, Kristi, and Chris lend their\u00a0thoughts and opinion on this week’s episode.\u00a0 We are still missing some people, but hopefully we will be at full strength soon.\u00a0 Bob, you and your family are in our thoughts.\u00a0 This week was a really good episode and we\u00a0had a lot of varying thoughts, so this is an interesting read this week.\u00a0 Any comments in\u00a0BOLD<\/strong> are written by me.\u00a0 Please enjoy.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0In Michonne\u2019s segment, she seemed far more concerned with that flaming structure in memory of Carl. \u00a0Shouldn\u2019t she have tried finding a way to preserve the wood panels that have Carl and Judith\u2019s handprints, from a sentimental standpoint?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Bitty: \u00a0maybe so yes. However, it made for a way more dramatic moment. I didn\u2019t understand trying to save that structure, we never really saw Carl on the roof there much. <\/span>(Right, it\u2019s not like he had great moments there or any one big moment. \u00a0So they seemingly tried to make something significant without any validation. \u00a0Typical female\u2026\u2026)<\/b><\/p>\n

    Kristi: \u00a0Absolutely! That would have been a great idea. \u00a0<\/span>(Thank you, thank you. \u00a0I will be here all night\u2026.because this is where I sleep.)<\/b><\/p>\n

    Chris: \u00a0I would have loved if she cut out the painted hands to give to Judith as a memorial. \u00a0Maybe she still has hope that they can return to Alexandria? <\/span>(Yes to your first thought. \u00a0What you said in the second sentence though is the main question, right? \u00a0Like ALexandria got F\u2019d up!!! Yet Rick\u2019s house was fine\u2026.go figure. They are taking a dramatic directional change from the comic, and in a way, I am curious what they do with Alexandria moving forward. \u00a0They will probably show a montage of them rebuilding set to some awful hippie jam band playing music. If they play Easy Street though and we see Daryl rename a street Easy Street, I am so sold.)<\/b><\/p>\n

    Kent: \u00a0Yeah, obviously I am going to agree with my question.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. \u00a0Do you think that Negan fears for Gavin\u2019s safety at this point?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Bitty: I don\u2019t think Fear is the right word. Isn\u2019t suspicious of something, I think so. <\/span>(Yeah, fear wasn\u2019t the right word. \u00a0I get it. I failed.)<\/b><\/p>\n

      Kristi: \u00a0I don’t think Negan fears much of anything. I’m sure he knows something is up but I don’t think it’s a huge concern for him. \u00a0<\/span>(I \u00a0think Negan fears loneliness above everything else. \u00a0Having read the comic and seen how they portray him on the show, I don\u2019t think anything would bother him more than social seclusion\u2026..hint hint hint.)<\/b><\/p>\n

      Chris: \u00a0Ok don’t think he fears for him. \u00a0At this point, he knows something went sour, but he didn’t seem overly worried. \u00a0<\/span>(I don\u2019t think Negan values Gavin as much as he does most of his other lieutenants or whatever they are called.)<\/b><\/p>\n

      Kent: \u00a0Goddamnit people! \u00a0I didn\u2019t think everybody here would take the word fear that literally, but you did and now I look like a moron. \u00a0Thank you, everybody!! Should I have put \u201cNegan is concerned for Gavin\u2019s well being\u201d? Yeah. Missed opportunity here, just moving along. \u00a0No gold stars!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. \u00a0Is it really important to have Oceanside join the war?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Bitty: \u00a0Hee Hee. Yup!! They have guns, warrior women, amo and are healthy!! \u00a0<\/span>(Didn\u2019t Rick take most of the weapons and ammo? \u00a0They aren\u2019t Lucy Lawless. Screw a serious response. \u00a0Like 2-3 years ago, I came across this Skinemax film called Sexy Warriors, and it was fucking hilarious. \u00a0I never can find it for a reasonable price, but I will someday own it.)<\/b><\/p>\n

        Kristi: \u00a0I don’t think so. Extra people would be good but I think Rick will figure it out either way. <\/span>(I\u2019m still not sure why they should even help Rick\u2019s group. \u00a0They have done a lot of damage to the Oceansiders. They just want to be left alone, not sure why they should risk their lives for 2 groups of assholes, from their perspective.)<\/b><\/p>\n

        Chris: \u00a0ugghh no. \u00a0They are boring. \u00a0I’m not sure what their purpose is, but they have no guns. \u00a0How are they going to help take down the Saviors when better groups have struggled? \u00a0<\/span>(Okay, I know this is lewd, but man to man hear, sex still sells in the apocalypse, and I feel that would be their best weapon. \u00a0Distractions are incredibly valuable. That is their only real use, well that and fish. The extra protein could truly be a game changer in the war. \u00a0If one side is malnourished with a lack of protein, we know that can be a huge hindrance in the real world. Look at professional fighters who cut weight in stupid ways. \u00a0They get beat usually. That\u2019s why Macho Man was tough to beat. He snapped into Slim Jims prior to his matches and he had amazing breathe during his matches.) <\/b><\/p>\n

        Kent: \u00a0No, I declare them obsolete.<\/span><\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        1. \u00a0Did you think that Simon went too far in how he executed most of the Scavengers or was it the right call given their betrayal to the Saviors?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          Bitty: \u00a0I was really surprised Simon went that far. I\u2019m not sure it was what he should\u2019ve done. They did play both sides but he should\u2019ve known they will play for whoever gives them the better deal. He broke almost like Morgan broke when he killed the savior. \u00a0<\/span>(It\u2019s tough to say when somebody goes too far. \u00a0If you get betrayed in our current world, it may sting or hurt, but probably won\u2019t be life-threatening. \u00a0In this world, betrayal can get you got. So the ramifications are totally different, so I don\u2019t know what is \u201ctoo far\u201d in all honesty.)<\/b><\/p>\n

          Kristi: \u00a0Yes, I think taking out a few of them was necessary but taking out all of them was a bit extreme. They were, after all, just following their leader. \u00a0<\/span>(See, and that is the difference between Negan and Simon. \u00a0Negan would have gotten wood, Lucille that is, seeing how loyal these people were to their leader. \u00a0Simon simply wanted to flex his nuts.)<\/b><\/p>\n

          Chris: \u00a0No. They turn on every alliance. \u00a0They would have turned on the Saviors again. \u00a0Besides, he went there with the full intention of killing them all. \u00a0He kept egging Jadis on hoping she would do something stupid. <\/span>(I loved how Steven Ogg and Pollyanna played that scene. \u00a0It was really well done. You\u2019re right, he wanted to push her so he felt validated. \u00a0In the end, he said screw validation, and he became a millennial for a moment, seeking his instant gratification rather than consider the long term. \u00a0Plus he was just pissed at how Negan talked to him.)<\/b><\/p>\n

          Kent: \u00a0I think that Simon was right in what he did. \u00a0I know that sounds harsh. The Scavengers are whoooores. \u00a0Hear me out. They chase the money. Well, you get used enough with no loyalty from that skank, and eventually, ou order your posse to kill a bitch. \u00a0I bet Tarantino would agree with Simon.<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. \u00a0What will be Simon\u2019s punishment from Negan for disobeying orders?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Bitty: \u00a0Simon will not get in trouble. I don\u2019t think there will be another visit to the garbage heap. <\/span>(Once again, I wish I would have worded this question differently. \u00a0Instead of punishment, I wish I would have asked what consequences Simon will face. \u00a0Oh well. There\u2019s really no sense to go back to the garbage heap\u2026…oh wait…solar panels and helipad. \u00a0Come on Bitty!!)<\/b><\/p>\n

            Kristi: \u00a0Lucille. She needs some action. \u00a0<\/span>(Maybe this makes me a sick fuck, but I want Lucille to quench her thirst. \u00a0I know she\u2019s thirsty. I would accept Simon dying to her. I guarantee that Steven Ogg would be super excited about it.)<\/b><\/p>\n

            Chris: \u00a0There might not be any. \u00a0Negan might not realize what actually happened until too late. \u00a0<\/span>(Yeah, without any knowledge of timelines, it\u2019s tough to really guess. \u00a0We assume that the war ends in 6 episodes. That is not much time for Negan to be worrying about this stuff.)<\/b><\/p>\n

            Kent: \u00a0I think it may get overlooked and the repercussions won\u2019t be felt from Negan, but somebody else obviously. \u00a0Negan has to worry about the betrayals in his ranks that are more important. Gavin is dead. Simon and Dwight have betrayed him, his wives wanted him dead, and there\u2019s a Mullet Revolution still brewing I believe.<\/span><\/p>\n

            1. \u00a0Wild prediction time. \u00a0Who do you think will kill Simon?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Bitty: \u00a0A walker. I think Negan will toss him out of the inner circle soon. Negan is not stupid and he can sense that Simon is beginning to disagree with him. Simon will try to leave on his own and get bit or attacked. <\/span>(I think it was just last year that I was bitching that we needed the walkers to get more kills. \u00a0Then Carl happened. A second big name would help us believe in the threat again util Rick and Michonne fight off 173 of them in 3 minutes.)<\/b><\/p>\n

              Kristi: \u00a0Either Lucille or Negan will allow Jadis to do it. \u00a0<\/span>(That latter option would be very interesting. \u00a0If Simon is away on a mission and Jadis pays Negan a visit. \u00a0That could be very delicous.)<\/b><\/p>\n

              Chris: \u00a0I have 2 choices. \u00a0Either Maggie or Jadis. \u00a0<\/span>(I hope it\u2019s not Maggie, but you are right. \u00a0The show is hell bent on trying to make her seem powerful and dangerous. \u00a0I don\u2019t like that you are right\/)<\/b><\/p>\n

              Kent: \u00a0Janis Got a Gun? \u00a0I feel Bob would have possibly answered in this way. \u00a0Miss ya buddy.<\/span><\/p>\n
